About This Course

This a Certificate under the Diploma in Design (Interior Design).

What You'll Learn

The Certificate in Design Methods equips participants with methods to conceptualise, translate, and manifest spatial experiences and sequences for retail design in response to a narrative. It covers understanding narrative and user experience within physical constraints, and includes the study of design language, branding and marketing concepts, and their effects on spatial design. Participants will also develop skills in producing 3D interior renderings, walkthroughs, and animations using 3D Max, along with advanced digital presentation techniques for documenting and presenting interior design projects.

Entry Requirements

GCE ‘O’ Levels:
3 relevant passes and 1-year relevant working experience:
English Language: 1-7
Mathematics (Elementary or Additional): 1-7
Any other subject excluding CCA: 1-6

FT Nitec:
Nitec in Space Design (Interior & Exhibition), Space Design (Architecture) or related design discipline with GPA >= 3.5
OR
Nitec in Space Design (Interior & Exhibition), Space Design (Architecture) or related design discipline with GPA >= 3.0 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

PT Nitec in Technology/Services:
GPA > 3.5 and 1 year of relevant working experience

FT Higher Nitec:
Higher Nitec with GPA >=2.0
OR
Higher Nitec with GPA >=1.5 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

PT Higher Nitec in Technology/Services:
GPA > 2.0 and 1 year of relevant working experience

WSQ Diploma:
Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) with 1 year of relevant working experience and Level 6 for both WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA & Workplace Numeracy SOA.
