About This Course

What You'll Learn

The Certificate in Spatial Design (Advanced) develops participants’ knowledge and skills in hospitality spatial design, interior design communication, and portfolio development. It covers interpreting a client brief, conducting contextual mapping and analysis of physical constraints, and developing design concepts and strategies to shape spatial experiences and sequences. Participants will also gain a working understanding of BIM software, along with advanced modelling and animation techniques and the use of 3D software for design presentation. In addition, the certificate includes the development of a professional portfolio to present design work effectively for interviews and industry roles.

Entry Requirements

GCE ‘O’ Levels:
3 relevant passes and 1-year relevant working experience:
English Language: 1-7
Mathematics (Elementary or Additional): 1-7
Any other subject excluding CCA: 1-6

FT Nitec:
Nitec in Space Design (Interior & Exhibition), Space Design (Architecture) or related design discipline with GPA >= 3.5
OR
Nitec in Space Design (Interior & Exhibition), Space Design (Architecture) or related design discipline with GPA >= 3.0 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

PT Nitec in Technology/Services:
GPA > 3.5 and 1 year of relevant working experience

FT Higher Nitec:
Higher Nitec with GPA >=2.0
OR
Higher Nitec with GPA >=1.5 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

PT Higher Nitec in Technology/Services:
GPA > 2.0 and 1 year of relevant working experience

WSQ Diploma:
Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) with 1 year of relevant working experience and Level 6 for both WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA & Workplace Numeracy SOA.
