(SCTP Module) Cloud Architecting
About This Course
This module covers approaches to architecting cloud solution based on industry established framework such as AWS well-architected framework. This includes learning the essential architecting considerations for designing cloud solutions. Learners will undertake cloud lab practices that will cover the application of skills and knowledge to architect solution for cloud services. It also covers the engagement and utilization of on premise private cloud. Learners will be given opportunities to configure essential private cloud services and to perform provisioning of cloud resources.
Participants will be prepared for the following industry certifications:
- AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect - Associate
What You'll Learn
- Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework to design secure, resilient, high-performing, and cost-optimized cloud architectures for common workload patterns.
- Select and justify AWS services (compute, storage, database, and networking) to meet functional/non-functional requirements, implementing VPC designs with subnets, route tables, security groups, and IAM.
- Design hybrid architectures that integrate on-prem/private cloud with AWS using VPN/Direct Connect, identity federation, and data migration approaches, addressing reliability and security.
- Provision and automate infrastructure with IaC (e.g., AWS CloudFormation), and implement monitoring, scaling, backup/DR, and basic cost controls to operate and optimize deployed solutions.
Entry Requirements
O-level or NITEC plus 2 years of working experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector
