Backend Development : Server-Side Programming (Part of SCTP)
About This Course
Java, combined with Spring Boot, continues to be a cornerstone of backend development, driving enterprise-grade applications across Singapore’s dynamic tech sectors, including finance, logistics, and government services. With millions of applications worldwide relying on Java’s robustness and Spring Boot’s simplified configuration, this powerful duo streamlines the creation of scalable, secure APIs and microservices, meeting the demands of modern, high-performance systems.
Seamlessly integrating with PostgreSQL is vital for crafting robust, scalable backend solutions, enabling developers to efficiently store, manage, and retrieve complex data for today’s applications. This versatile, open-source relational database delivers advanced features such as transaction support, data integrity, and extensibility, making it perfectly suited for real-world scenarios. By mastering PostgreSQL integration, learners can build dynamic, data-driven solutions that ensure performance, reliability, and adaptability, addressing industry needs in Singapore and beyond. Job platforms like JobsDB report 2,974+ Java-related roles in Singapore as of May 2025, with backend developers earning competitive salaries (JobsDB, 2025).
This comprehensive course is designed to equip learners with a strong foundationin core Java programming skills and a deep understanding of Spring Boot essentials, empowering them to tackle real-world backend development challenges withconfidence.
By blending practical, hands-on exercises with theoretical insights, it prepares participants to meet the growing demands of the tech industry, not only in Singapore but also across global markets, enabling them to build robust, scalable, and efficient backend solutions for modern applications.
