About This Course

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly present in the workplace, yet many organisations struggle to move beyond basic use to achieve consistent, practical value. Success depends not only on individual skills but on building organisational capability by integrating knowledge, tools, and processes. This one-day course is designed for beginners, including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurs, and non-technical professionals, and introduces Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in clear, business-focused terms. It emphasises AI as a tool for augmentation rather than full automation, and highlights the progression from individual competency to organisational capability.

The course takes a highly practical approach using the Capabara Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) platform. Participants will explore a curated library of pre-built AI applications (apps) across functions such as Human Resources, Sales, Learning and Development, Marketing, and general productivity. Through hands-on activities and group discussions, they will evaluate use cases and select one application to adapt to a relevant business scenario.

Using Capabara’s no-code design model, participants will customise AI apps by modifying prompts, text fields, and dropdown inputs without programming. A core focus is structured prompt design, including defining roles, setting objectives, providing grounding content, outlining step-by-step instructions, and applying rules or constraints to improve output quality and consistency. Participants will also gain basic experience in configuring user inputs to better align AI applications with business needs.

By the end of the course, participants will have developed a working AI app prototype tailored to their context, supporting productivity, decision-making, and early-stage digital transformation.

What You'll Learn

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
• explain the role of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI applications (apps) in supporting business productivity
• select a suitable pre-built AI app for a relevant business use case
• adapt an AI app by modifying prompt structure and basic user inputs for a specific business scenario
• test and refine the adapted AI app for business relevance, output quality, and responsible use

Topic 1: Understand how Generative AI supports business work
• explain Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in simple terms
• describe how AI supports productivity through drafting, summarising, analysing, ideation, and role-based assistance
• distinguish between AI augmentation and full automation
• introduce AI capability as the combination of skills, tools, processes, and practical application in business

Topic 2: Identify business opportunities for pre-built AI apps
• explore use cases across Human Resources (HR), sales, marketing, learning and development, and general productivity
• recognise how pre-built AI apps can serve as starting points for real business needs
• evaluate and select a suitable AI app for a workplace or business scenario

Topic 3: Adapt an AI app using structured prompting and configuration
• understand how prompt structure shapes AI behaviour
• modify prompts using role, objective, grounding content, step-by-step instructions, and rules
• edit simple user inputs such as text fields and dropdowns to align with the selected business use case
• recognise how these changes improve relevance, consistency, and usability of outputs

Topic 4: Test and refine an adapted AI app prototype
• test the adapted AI app against a real business scenario
• refine prompts and inputs based on output quality and usefulness
• apply responsible AI practices, including clear instructions, simple guardrails, and careful handling of business information
