Ethical Theories and Responsibilities for Nurses (Classroom and Asynchronous e-learning)
About This Course
This course equips nurses with essential ethical knowledge, covering theories such as deontology, utilitarianism, virtue ethics, and principlism, while integrating the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) Code for Nurses and Midwives. It emphasises structured decision-making frameworks to address ethical dilemmas, manage moral distress, and build resilience for professional growth. Learners will also explore the ethical and professional responsibilities that sustain trust-based nurse-patient relationships, focusing on duty, fidelity, and confidentiality within clear boundaries.
