Workplace Cyber Scam Prevention, Response, and AI Verification
About This Course
Workplace cyber scams are increasing in frequency and sophistication, exposing organisations to financial loss, reputational damage, and psychological harm to employees. This course equips office professionals, SME owners, managers, and supervisors with the practical skills to prevent, detect, and respond effectively to cyber scam incidents in the workplace.
Learners will develop competencies in recognising common cyber scams, analysing how human behaviour and organisational gaps are exploited, and identifying early warning signs and risks. The course also addresses an often-overlooked need, i.e. supporting scam-affected individuals by equipping learners with counselling assessment techniques to conduct effective intake conversations, build trust, and recommend appropriate workplace support actions. In addition, learners will gain hands-on experience using AI tools and prompt engineering techniques to verify suspicious communications and detect scam patterns. Practical cyber hygiene practices, verification methods, SOPs, and reporting pathways are reinforced to strengthen organisational anti-scam readiness.
This course is highly relevant across industries where digital communication, financial transactions, and data handling are integral to daily operations. The skills gained enhance employability and job progression for supervisory and managerial roles by strengthening risk management, people support, and digital safety capabilities valued by employers.
