Analytical Chemistry in Industry
About This Course
This course equips learners with advanced analytical chemistry techniques commonly used in the energy, chemical, and semiconductor industries. Learners will gain in-depth knowledge of electrochemical analysis, spectroscopy, environmental analysis and sampling, chromatography, mass spectrometry, and surface characterization. Through exposure to modern analytical methods and instruments, learners will develop strong competencies in quantifying chemical and biological samples and monitoring reaction processes. These skills will enhance learners’ employability and support job progression by enabling them to meet industry needs in process optimization and quality control, preparing them for higher-value technical roles.
As this micro-credential course is only offered in the FlexiMasters in Chemical Sciences and Instrumentation programme, learners are required to enrol in and complete all required courses within this programme.
What You'll Learn
• Apply quality assurance and calibration principles to analytical measurements.
• Analyse automated and electrolytic measurement methods for environmental pollutants.
• Interpret voltametric and electrochemical data to evaluate analytical mechanisms.
• Differentiate spectroscopic and optical sensing techniques for chemical analysis
• Assess separation and mass spectrometric techniques for chemical identification.
Entry Requirements
No pre-requisites are needed to enroll in the individual courses.
A minimum of two years of relevant working experience is preferred but not required.
Note: Shortlisting will be conducted by the School.
