Physical AI Executive Programme
About This Course
Physical Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly emerging as the next frontier of AI, extending intelligence from purely digital systems into machines that perceive, reason and act in the real world (robots, autonomous vehicles, drones, smart industrial systems). This 1-day executive programme is designed for senior leaders from sectors outside robotics who need to understand what Physical AI is, why it matters now, and what its adoption means for their organisation's strategy, capabilities and risk posture. The course combines lectures by Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) faculty active in the field with an industry/government partner sharing, case studies and live demonstrations.
What You'll Learn
b. Describe the key building blocks of modern Physical AI systems: foundation models, multimodal sensing, simulation and synthetic data, and the perception action loop.
c. Identify the main classes of physical agents (manipulators, mobile robots, autonomous vehicles, intelligent industrial systems) and the sectors where they are being deployed.
d. Assess the compute, data and system integration infrastructure needed to develop and operate Physical AI at scale.
e. Evaluate where Physical AI is most likely to create value or introduce risk in their own industry.
f. Recognise the main ethics, safety and trustworthiness considerations of deploying autonomous physical systems.
g. Engage credibly with technical teams, vendors and research partners on Physical AI topics.
Entry Requirements
a. Managerial or executive role within the organisation.
b. Basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its business applications. No coding or robotics background required.
