About This Course

MO1: Understanding of a child’s development and its implications on student services and practices
MO2: Skills and knowledge in managing students’ challenging behaviours
MO3: Skills and knowledge in guiding students using effective communication, facilitation and behavioural management strategies
MO4: Skills and knowledge in managing various processes of programme management such as conducting needs assessment, curriculum planning and development, implementation and evaluation
MO5: Skills and knowledge in managing stakeholders of student services centres
MO6: Skills and knowledge in leading and mentoring student services staff

What You'll Learn

This PDC equips the participants with the knowledge of the various developmental stages faced by students. They will also learn strategies to manage students' behavior (including challenging behaviors), facilitation skills to manage group behavior and classroom management techniques.

• A local Polytechnic Diploma or Degree with at least 1-year relevant working experience
• State-recognized University Degree in any discipline where the medium of instruction is English and with at least 1-year relevant working experience.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
