Thinking Dynamically for Strategic Decision-Making
About This Course
As organisations operate in increasingly data-rich and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-augmented environments, leaders must go beyond intuition to make decisions that are structured, defensible, and strategically sound.
This course equips participants with the critical thinking capabilities and structured decision-making frameworks required for strategic management in data-rich and AI-augmented environments. Participants will learn how to evaluate, synthesise, and integrate insights from human judgement, digital data, and AI-generated outputs, while maintaining clarity and control over the decision-making process.
The programme introduces multi-dimensional thinking techniques alongside practical decision-making frameworks, enabling participants to approach problems from multiple perspectives, challenge assumptions, and generate well-reasoned solutions. Emphasis is placed on the critical interrogation of assumptions, evidence quality, and algorithm-supported outputs, enabling managers to make robust, defensible decisions amid information abundance, ambiguity, and rapid technological change.
What You'll Learn
- Identify and deconstruct cognitive biases, reasoning errors, and decision traps that impair judgement in complex, data-intensive, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-supported environments
- Apply multi-dimensional thinking techniques, including divergent ideation, convergent analysis, and lateral reframing, to generate innovative, evidence-based solutions
- Implement structured decision-making frameworks that integrate analytical reasoning, data insights, and managerial judgement in real-world situations
- Critically evaluate the credibility, relevance, and limitations of digital, data-driven, and AI-generated information sources when constructing strategic recommendations
- Synthesise insights from multiple data sources into coherent, defensible strategic recommendations
- Apply disciplined research and information synthesis methodologies to integrate insights from multiple digital streams into coherent, defensible strategic positions.
- Practise deliberate thinking disciplines - including structured inquiry, time-bounded analysis, and reflective debriefing - to sustain consistently high decision quality in fast-moving digital environments.
