Engineering CAD Essentials: 3D Modelling and Technical Drawing using PTC Creo
About This Course
This course introduces participants to the fundamentals of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) using Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) Creo. Participants will learn how to create accurate 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD tools.
The course also covers the principles of engineering technical drawings. Participants will learn how to interpret 2D technical drawings and convert them into 3D models. After creating the 3D models, they will learn how to generate detailed 2D technical drawings including orthographic views, hidden lines, centre lines, sectional views, and proper dimensioning.
Participants will also learn how to create assembly models, generate assembly drawings, and prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) with balloons for documentation and manufacturing purposes.
By the end of the course, participants will gain practical skills to create, interpret, and document mechanical designs using CAD tools commonly used in the engineering and manufacturing industries
