About This Course
This is a module under the Specialist Diploma in Data Science (Artificial Intelligence).
What You'll Learn
This module equips learners with foundational knowledge and practical understanding of occupational health and safety within the Singapore context. Learners will examine applicable OHS legislation, standards and organisational responsibilities, and develop competencies in incident reporting, investigation and root cause analysis. Emergency preparedness, response roles and hazard isolation for accident prevention are also covered. Learning is supported by online resources, real-world case studies, and guided reading of local legislation and codes of practice.
Entry Requirements
The participant shall be graduates with the following qualifications or higher
o Full-time Diploma from local Polytechnics from the relevant STEM fields or
o A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from the relevant STEM fields
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
