Leading Self: Mastering Your Impact in the Age of AI, Powered by Harvard Business Impact
About This Course
This course equips emerging leaders with self-awareness, adaptive communication, resilience, and strategic action skills for modern digital workplaces. Participants master conflict management by performing conflict resolution to assist team members in resolving grievances and disputes—leveraging DiSC® profiles to grasp behavioural preferences, spot early tension signals (misunderstanding, disengagement), and deploy techniques like style-aware dialogue and psychological safety to diffuse issues, build consensus, and secure effective outcomes aligned with organisational priorities.
Participants hone business innovation & improvement by identifying improvement opportunities in real workplace scenarios (e.g., information overload, unclear ownership, asynchronous misalignment); evaluating new ways to transform and grow business through analysing business cases for patterns, plus applying responsible judgment on digital/AI tools to balance human oversight with value; and creating environments to encourage improvements via concrete behavioural commitments that influence management to embrace change and innovation.
What You'll Learn
2. Communicate with greater clarity, adaptability, and intention across different working styles and channels, strengthening trust and collaboration when work is mediated by digital tools rather than face‑to‑face interactions.
3. Maintain personal effectiveness and emotional steadiness under pressure, enabling thoughtful responses instead of reactive behaviour as pace, expectations, and complexity increases.
4. Make sense of noisy, ambiguous workplace situations—such as information overload, conflicting signals, or unclear expectations—by identifying what truly matters and what constructive action is within their influence.
5. Engage with digital or AI‑supported information as an informed human contributor, using it to support thinking while recognising the limits of automated outputs and the continued need for human values, context, and judgment.
6. Understand what it means to be “future‑ready” as an individual in an AI‑enabled workplace, recognising how human judgment, self‑awareness, and sense‑making distinguish people from automation as routine tasks become increasingly digitised.
7. Articulate a personal leadership‑readiness narrative and action plan, clarifying how they will continue developing the human capabilities that keep them relevant, trusted, and ready for future people‑management responsibilities.
