About This Course
AutoCAD is one of the most widely adopted tools across contractor and consultant firms in Singapore, and the ability to create and modify technical drawings to industry standards is a core expectation across Built Environment roles. Yet many aspiring professionals enter the workforce without the proficiency needed to contribute effectively on live projects. This course bridges that gap by equipping learners with competencies in computer-aided design, engineering drawing interpretation, and construction documentation — covering the AutoCAD interface, 2D and 3D drafting and modification, dimensioning, annotation, and productivity techniques drawn from real-world CAD service delivery.
What You'll Learn
LO2: Create 2D technical drawings using drawing and modifying tools.
LO3: Apply AutoCAD annotation tools to produce compliant 2D technical drawings for construction industry use.
LO4: Apply CP 83 drafting standards to 2D technical drawings produced in AutoCAD.
LO5: Create blocks and attributes to support the generation of material schedules.
LO6: Produce construction documentation using AutoCAD in accordance with industry requirements.
LO7: Create 2D isometric designs.
LO8: Create and document 3D objects.
Entry Requirements
• At least a diploma in architecture, green building and sustainability, mechanical and electrical, green building & sustainability, mechatronics civil, structural engineering, aerospace engineering, landscape architecture, interior design, sustainable urban design and engineering, or any built-environment related course.
• English language proficiency at GCE ‘O’ level of C6 and above, or WSQ Workplace Literacy skills of Level 6 and above.
• Possess basic information and communication technology (ICT) skills.
• No prior working experience required*.
*Learners who do not qualify in terms of education but have at least one year working experience in the Built Environment will be admitted on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by the Management Representative (MR).
