Diploma in Engineering (Computer Engineering)
About This Course
The course aims to equip students with a broad-based, interdisciplinary foundation spanning digital electronics, structured programming, computer networking, cloud platforms, artificial intelligence, and full stack development. By integrating both hardware and software competencies with emerging technologies such as IoT, smart systems, and mobile applications, the course prepares students to design, build, and manage modern digital infrastructures and intelligent solutions. Graduates will be industry-ready with practical skills, certification pathways, and the versatility to thrive in diverse roles across engineering, IT, and digital innovation sectors. The modules have been carefully selected to cover the technical skills and knowledge in high demand for careers in cloud services, application development and computer networking industries.
The course focuses on software development, cloud computing, computer networking and AI and smart technologies that are applied in the areas of Infocomm Technology (IT) and Computer Engineering. It equips students in roles such as embedded systems technician and software technician with the knowledge and skills required to undertake new roles that include associate embedded systems engineer and associate software engineer in the IT and Computer Engineering industries. By engaging in a blended learning approach that combines online instruction, classroom teaching, and hands-on practice, students will develop the skills and expertise to design, develop, and deploy intelligent digital systems and applications across embedded platforms, network infrastructures, cloud environments, and full-stack frameworks using modern programming tools and smart technologies.
