About This Course

This 3-day course provides participants with a structured understanding of how financial institutions operate within Singapore’s evolving financial sector, where digital transformation and technology-enabled financial services are reshaping business models, customer expectations and organisational competitiveness, with a focus on how business activities and strategic decisions influence financial performance, organisational resilience and long-term value creation.
Through applied case scenarios based on contemporary banking environments, participants examine how financial institutions generate revenue across key income streams, how funds flow through core banking activities, and how financial and operational decisions influence overall financial performance. The programme also explores how digitalisation and emerging technologies are transforming the banking landscape, influencing operational efficiency, customer value propositions and business performance.
Participants will analyse how assets and liabilities evolve over time, and how these movements reflect underlying business activities and risk exposures. They will also interpret financial performance using banking data and evaluate how market conditions, digital innovation and business decisions influence financial outcomes and organisational resilience in an increasingly digital economy.
The course concludes with a capstone group presentation, where participants will recommend business decisions that support sustainable growth, sound risk management and organisational competitiveness within Singapore’s evolving digital economy.
