(24 hrs) Understanding Computer Hardware & Peripherals (Part of SCTP)
About This Course
This course provides participants with a strong foundation in computer hardware and its role in enabling effective user-computer interaction.
Participants will explore key hardware components such as the motherboard, CPU, RAM, storage devices, ports, and cables, and understand how these work together within a computer system.
The course also develops practical skills in assembling and upgrading a PC, assessing component compatibility, and troubleshooting common hardware installation issues.
In addition, participants will examine the function of BIOS in the boot process, optimise BIOS settings for better performance, and diagnose and resolve typical boot-related problems encountered in desktop computing environments.
