CoC in Vehicle Air Conditioning Fundamentals
About This Course
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to perform inspection, servicing, and basic diagnostic procedures on vehicle air-conditioning systems, including those used in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs). Participants will conduct functional checks, refrigerant recovery, handling, charging, pressure testing, and basic electrical diagnostics to assess system condition and identify early signs of failure. The course also develops awareness of environmentally sustainable refrigerant management practices, including the transition from R134a to lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants such as R1234yf, enabling participants to support routine maintenance activities and contribute to predictive maintenance and environmentally responsible vehicle servicing.
What You'll Learn
1. Perform functional checks and condition inspection of vehicle air-conditioning systems to assess system operating performance and identify abnormalities.
2. Perform environmentally sustainable servicing of vehicle air-conditioning systems, including refrigerant recovery, handling, charging, leak prevention, and compliance with responsible refrigerant management practices.
3. Perform refrigerant pressure testing and system performance analysis to support fault identification and predictive maintenance.
4. Perform basic electrical diagnostics on vehicle air-conditioning system components to detect common faults and support condition-based maintenance.
Entry Requirements
Basic proficiency in English is advised.
Preferably, participants should have one-year relevant working experience in the automotive trade.
