AIM-Ready for Manufacturing Leaders
About This Course
This course equips manufacturing leaders to identify and frame practical artificial intelligence (AI) opportunities that address business priorities such as productivity, manpower, cost, quality, delivery and sustainability. Through manufacturing case examples and guided exercises, learners will analyse operational pain points, link them to measurable key performance indicators (KPIs), prioritise AI use cases and develop a Company AI Action Plan for one selected use case.
The course focuses on the emerging skill of Artificial Intelligence Application, enabling learners to apply AI at the business decision-making level without going into technical model development. Learners will be able to define the operational problem, clarify expected value, identify ownership and readiness considerations, and decide the appropriate next step such as readiness assessment, proof-of-concept scoping or implementation planning.
What You'll Learn
(1) Explain how AI can create business value in manufacturing by addressing productivity, manpower, cost, quality, delivery and sustainability challenges.
(2) Analyse business priorities and KPI gaps to identify manufacturing pain points that may benefit from AI-enabled intervention.
(3) Compare practical AI use cases across predictive shopfloor analytics, quality assurance, demand forecasting, production and inventory operations optimisation, operations sustainability and knowledge systems.
(4) Prioritise AI use cases using value, urgency, KPI clarity, AI relevance, feasibility, readiness and ownership considerations.
(5) Develop a Company AI Action Plan for one selected AI use case covering the operational problem, KPI baseline and target, indicative data and system considerations, deployment direction, ownership, key risks and recommended next step.
