About This Course
This 1-day course equips audit and risk professionals with the knowledge and tools required for effective Auditing and Assurance Standards application within AI-accelerated environments. Participants will master Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Governance by gaining insights into global standards like the IMDA Model AI Governance Framework and the SCS AI Ethics Body of Knowledge to systematically assess systems for compliance and ethical alignment.
The programme emphasises Regulatory Risk Compliance to help auditors analyse the impact of global laws on their engagement strategies while strengthening Internal Controls through the evaluation of accountability structures and RACI matrices. Participants will also develop competencies to develop quality assurance frameworks to meet regulatory requirements. Ultimately, the course reinforces Risk Compliance and Governance, providing a comprehensive foundation for enforcing robust oversight and continuous governance enhancement across the entire AI lifecycle.
What You'll Learn
1. Explain how AI governance differs from traditional IT governance by applying AI Verify principles across technical, governance and human-centric domains.
2. Analyse accountability structures, RACI matrices and the three lines of defence to define AI governance roles, escalation paths and decision rights.
3. Evaluate AI systems for ethical alignment, transparency and explainability using Model, Data and System Cards.
4. Design risk-based audit and quality assurance frameworks that incorporate data provenance, privacy requirements and data lifecycle controls.
5. Apply audit techniques to assess AI systems for safety, security, robustness, fairness, human oversight and Generative AI-specific risks.
6. Develop an AI audit process and reporting approach that translates technical risks into business findings, recommendations, management actions and continuous improvement measures.
7. Demonstrate AI governance, risk compliance and audit competencies.
Entry Requirements
Participants should possess at least a Diploma in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Risk Management or a related discipline. Applicants with GCE A-Level qualifications (or equivalent) and relevant work experience in governance, risk, compliance, audit, cybersecurity, technology management or AI-related initiatives may also be considered. Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic qualification requirement may be considered on a case-by-case basis if they possess at least 3 years of relevant working experience in governance, risk, compliance, audit, cybersecurity, technology management or AI-related functions. Participants should have a basic understanding of governance, risk, compliance, audit, cybersecurity, technology management, or AI-related business initiatives.
Participants must be able to read, write and speak English at Workplace Literacy Level 4 and manipulate numbers at Workplace Numeracy Level 4.
