About This Course

The GHG Accounting & Compliance Specialist Programme is a high-impact, skills-based training course designed to build rigorous technical capabilities in emissions quantification, regulatory compliance, and data verification. Aligned with Singapore’s enhanced climate commitments and the Carbon Pricing Act, this programme prepares professionals to navigate complex facility-level reporting requirements enforced by the National Environment Agency (NEA).

Going beyond basic calculation, this implementation-focused course directly maps to the Sustainability Assurance skill. Learners will master the mechanics of evaluating and verifying the accuracy, relevance, and completeness of an organisation’s greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory. Through hands-on spreadsheet modelling, multi-tier data monitoring, and alignment with global disclosure standards (such as the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, and ISSB), learners will learn to elevate the transparency, credibility, and overall trust of their organisation's sustainability reporting—ensuring that senior leadership and environmental regulators can make robust, informed decisions.

What You'll Learn

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
• LO1: Evaluate organizational and operational boundaries to construct a structurally accurate and legally compliant emission inventory framework from scratch, including cope 3 boundary-setting under ISSB IFRS S2 or GHG Protocol's Corporate Value Chain Standard.
• LO2: Apply authoritative emission factor datasets to execute precise GHG quantification models and resolve calculations within an enterprise excel engine
• LO3: Verify the relevance, data quality, and completeness of primary and secondary monitoring data obtained via plant metering and field tracking systems
• LO4: Formulate robust, data-backed environmental KPIs, decarbonisation pathways, and corporate targets aligned with regional carbon pricing and market mechanisms
• LO5: Structure facility-level reports that strictly fulfil NEA compliance workflows and audit-ready data verification obligations under the Carbon Pricing Act
• LO6: Align an organisation's quantitative emissions data with major international climate disclosure and reporting frameworks to enhance external transparency and trust
