Specialist Diploma in Business Analytics with Agentic AI
About This Course
The Specialist Diploma in Business Analytics with Agentic AI (SDBAAI) prepares participants to practise rigorous data analytics in an era when generative and agentic AI are reshaping the field. The programme treats AI as a force multiplier on analytical work rather than a replacement for it, and trains participants in the judgment needed to review, validate, and correct AI outputs so that analytical rigour is maintained.
Participants first develop core competencies in data preparation, SQL, data visualisation, machine learning, and text analytics. They then learn to apply generative AI tools and agentic AI systems on top of these foundations, including agentic workflow automation. This sequencing ensures that AI augments analytical thinking rather than substituting for it.
Learning is anchored in business case studies and applied assignments throughout, keeping the focus on practical analytical decision-making and open to learners from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
What You'll Learn
i. Prepare data for analytics using SQL, data warehousing, and ETL workflows, and analyse data to design visualisations and dashboards that support business decisions.
ii. Apply machine learning techniques within the CRISP-DM framework and conduct text analytics combining classical methods with LLMs for sentiment evaluation, topic detection, and entity recognition.
iii. Control and verify AI model outputs by crafting systematic prompts, tuning model behaviour, and applying structured verification techniques to ensure reliable, reproducible results.
iv. Design, deploy, and govern AI agents (including multi-agent systems) that automate end-to-end analytics workflows, and evaluate and debug agent behaviour through traces and error analysis.
v. Navigate ethical, governance, and regulatory considerations for agentic and generative AI deployment in analytics practice, including hallucination risk, bias, data leakage, and adversarial threats.
