Agentic AI with Claude Agent
About This Course
Artificial intelligence is rapidly shifting from simple chatbots that answer questions to autonomous agents that can plan, decide, and complete multi-step tasks with minimal supervision. This course gives you a practical foundation in building these agentic systems using Claude Agents, taking you from core concepts through to practical working solutions. You will explore how agentic AI has evolved, how Claude models support agentic task execution, and how to recognise high-value business use cases where agents can deliver meaningful impact. Across the programme, you will learn to design agent workflows that combine clear instructions, tools, memory, context, and data sources, and to apply effective prompt engineering techniques using roles, goals, constraints, and configuration settings. You will then build and test Claude Agents for everyday business needs such as research, document handling, knowledge retrieval, and data lookups, before integrating them with tools, connectors, and external systems to automate complex, multi-step processes across your organisation.
Designed for beginner to intermediate learners, this course assumes no advanced programming background and guides you step by step towards practical competence and confidence. Beyond building agents, you will develop the judgement needed to operate them safely by applying guardrails, human-in-the-loop review, reliability practices, risk management, and output validation. You will also learn to evaluate agent performance, address governance and compliance considerations, assess organisational readiness, and develop responsible AI strategies for the ethical and compliant adoption of AI agents. These capabilities are increasingly relevant as organisations across finance, operations, marketing, customer service, and professional services adopt AI to improve productivity and reduce manual workload.
