AI for Data Analysts: Faster Analysis, Automated Reporting and Deeper Business Insights
About This Course
This 2-day course equips data analysts, BI analysts, reporting analysts and business analysts to use AI tools for faster, sharper analysis, while retaining ownership of analytical judgement and business interpretation.
Learners work through one running case study: a quarterly sales performance investigation, covering the full workflow from framing the business question and cleaning data to AI-assisted analysis, dashboarding, and decision-ready reporting.
This is not a Python, Excel, Power BI or Tableau training course. A BI tool and application is used only as the reporting canvas for AI-assisted analysis and insight generation.
What You'll Learn
• LO2 - Apply AI-assisted profiling and cleaning to identify missing values, duplicates, outliers and inconsistent categories, and produce a documented data dictionary and cleaning-rules set that meets ethical and lawful data-handling requirements.
• LO3 - Generate, debug and refine SQL queries, Excel formulas and BI calculation logic using AI, and verify correctness against source data before business use.
• LO4 - Construct a dashboard or report draft that presents analytical findings clearly to a defined business audience.
• LO5 - Develop a decision-ready insight narrative covering what changed, why it changed, confidence level, data limitations and the recommended business action.
• LO6 - Build an AI-assisted recurring reporting workflow with automated commentary and executive summaries, distributed under appropriate access, retention and sensitivity controls.
• LO7 - Apply a validation checklist and human-in-the-loop review to detect hallucinated insights, misleading correlations, bias and confidentiality risks in AI-assisted analysis.
