About This Course
This intermediate course prepares working professionals to apply AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini to improve the quality, consistency and timeliness of everyday business outputs. Learners will develop practical skills in crafting effective prompts for a range of business tasks including drafting, analysis and reporting, checking AI-generated content for business usefulness, and applying AI to selected business tasks.
Beyond AI application, the course addresses how professionals can translate AI use into measurable workplace gains. Learners will analyse selected business tasks to identify productivity gaps, develop a productivity management framework to prioritise and review improvement actions, track progress against business objective and address gaps. Learners will be able to articulate productivity and innovation strategies to drive improvements and propose practical actions for selected business practices.
The course culminates in a business improvement plan where learners document their AI use, prompt engineering approach, productivity and innovation strategy and expected business impact.
What You'll Learn
Learners will use prompt engineering techniques including defining the request, context, audience, format and constraints to generate more accurate and useful AI responses for business tasks
Learners will evaluate AI responses against criteria of relevance, accuracy, completeness, consistency and business usefulness to select and refine outputs for specific business tasks
Learners will develop a productivity management framework, based on identified productivity gaps and quality issues in selected business tasks, to prioritise actions and evaluate their effectiveness in promoting continuous improvement.
Learners will propose innovation and improvement actions for selected business practices, guided by productivity and innovation strategies that support work quality, timeliness and consistency across business operations.
Learners will formulate a productivity review for a selected business task, evaluating progress against business objectives, expected standards and identified gaps through business performance management.
Learners will prepare a business improvement plan integrating AI application, prompt engineering approach, productivity and innovation strategy and expected business impact
Entry Requirements
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Aged between 21 years old and above,
• Minimum at least Learners must have Secondary Education Level,
Able to read, listen and speak English at a proficiency level
LITERACY REQUIREMENTS:
• Achieve a minimum band of 5 in IELTS OR
• Workplace Literacy (Comprehensive) Level 5
ASSUMED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ATTITUDE
• Able to understand business Management.
• Able to perform basic tasks and functions using AI
• Able to influence changes and decisions in the department.
• Able to translate information and present its findings.
• Possess positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
If the Learner does not meet the above requirements, they would not be admitted into the course
