Analytics Programming - Part of Post Diploma Certificate in Analytics Programming and Data Visualisation Analytics (SDAAD)
About This Course
This module equips learners with mastery of a programming language to perform data operations and analysis using modern development environments. This module is suitable for learners with little or no programming background.
The programming language taught is Python, which is the world’s most popular coding language due to its simplicity and flexibility. Its popularity also stems largely due to its wide range of applications in areas such as data analytics, machine learning, network automation, and the Internet of Things.
The module highlights fundamental syntactical and algorithmic concepts, while introducing learners to contemporary programming platform to support learning, debugging, and code optimisation. Learners will progressively code Python programs, from basic constructs to more complex algorithms, while building the skills required to apply programming effectively in analytics contexts. Through hands-on exercises, learners will be introduced to AI coding tools (such as VS Code: Gemini Code Assist), reviewing AI-generated code, debugging errors, and validating suggested solutions.
