About This Course

This module equips learners with essential skills and techniques to prepare and transform data effectively for analytical purposes using modern analytics platforms and AI-assisted tools.

Learners gain proficiency in data preparation, manipulation, cleaning, and transformation, ensuring data quality and integrity. The module introduces contemporary tools that support data preparation and transformation. Learners will also explore how AI-assisted tools can be used to suggest data cleaning steps, generate transformation logic, detect anomalies, and support feature preparation.

By the end of the module, learners will be able to efficiently prepare data for building accurate models and deriving valuable insights, thus preparing them for roles in data analytics and decision support.

Where appropriate, learners will participate in an integrated end-to-end analytics capstone project that connects data analysis techniques such as data preparation and visualization to machine learning.

What You'll Learn

By the end of this module, learners will be able to assess data quality issues and determine appropriate data preparation strategies, apply techniques for cleaning, transforming and integrating data from multiple sources, engineer and select relevant features to support analytical and predictive models, and build and evaluate basic models while explaining how data preparation choices affect model performance.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must possess a diploma or higher qualification from local Polytechnics/Universities in any discipline or at least 1 year of relevant work experience.

Applicants with other equivalent qualifications will be considered case-by-case based on relevant work experience.
