By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the principles, limitations, and real-world applications of energy modelling in building projects and retrofits.
2. Set up and interpret basic energy simulation models using industry-standard tools and assumptions commonly adopted in Singapore practice.
3. Recognize how sustainability strategies, Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) system choices, and emerging technologies influence model outcomes and building performance.
4. Apply simulation outputs to support informed design and operational decision-making in practical scenarios, including energy efficiency and performance benchmarking.

What You'll Learn

This intensive one-day course introduces participants to the fundamental principles of energy modelling and their practical application in building design, retrofit analysis, and sustainability assessment, aligned with the ambitions of the Singapore Green Plan 2030. Through a structured, hands-on approach, participants will develop foundational competencies in setting up, running, and interpreting basic energy simulation models using industry-recognized workflows aligned with Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark requirements and current professional practice.
