Gain Real Outcomes for Work (GROW) - Developing Social Sustainability Strategies for Business Resilience
About This Course
This practical 3-day course with a hands-on workplace learning component equips learners with the knowledge and tools to harness social capital as a driver of business resilience, organisational performance, and long-term sustainability. learners will explore how organisations can strengthen relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and other stakeholders to create meaningful social value while supporting strategic business objectives.
Through a structured and applied learning journey, learners will learn how to identify key stakeholders, assess social risks and opportunities, prioritise material social outcomes, and design practical action plans tailored to their organisational context. The course also introduces learners to outcome-based thinking, stakeholder engagement strategies, social sustainability indicators, and phased implementation approaches that can be realistically applied within their organisations.
The course adopts an interactive and practice-oriented pedagogical approach. learners will engage in guided workplace simulations, case study discussions, collaborative group activities, peer learning, and hands-on exercises that progressively build towards the development of a Social Capital Roadmap. Between course sessions, learners will apply concepts directly within their own workplace settings, enabling immediate translation of learning into practice.
