(SCTP Module) Foundations of Cybersecurity, Python and AI (Defence)
About This Course
This module introduces learners to the foundational concepts of cybersecurity while equipping them with essential Python programming skills. Learners will first explore the basics of networking, including IP addresses, ports, DNS, and DHCP, to understand how data travels across networks. The module also introduces Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and its role in cybersecurity, along with techniques for analysing and interpreting network data.
In parallel, learners will develop practical skills in Python programming, covering variables, data types, loops, conditional statements, functions, and modules. Through hands-on exercises, learners will apply Python to real-world scenarios, such as automating tasks and analysing data for security purposes.
By the end of this module, learners will gain a solid grounding in both cybersecurity fundamentals and Python programming, providing them with the technical foundation to progress into more advanced cybersecurity topics and applications.
