WSQ Applied Python Programming (SF) (Synchronous and Asynchronous E-Learning)
About This Course
The Applied Python Programming" module covers core Python programming and low-code app development across five instructional units. Learners work with Python syntax, data types, strings, and built-in data structures including lists, tuples, sets, and dictionaries, apply control flow using decision-making constructs and loops, write reusable functions using standard library modules, handle text and CSV files, and build canvas apps in Power Apps with customisation and external data connections.
Learning centres on Python, using its core language and standard library, together with Microsoft Power Apps, and is anchored by a module project in which learners build a Membership Management System for FitLife using pure Python, managing members, class schedules, and membership fees through reusable functions and file-based records.
The module is suitable for fresh graduates and working professionals starting a data science pathway; no prior programming experience is required. On completion, learners are prepared for job roles such as Junior Python Developer, Trainee Data Analyst, and Junior Power Apps Developer, and gain the programming foundation for the data science modules that follow.
