Energy Efficiency of Data Centres
About This Course
In today’s digital age, data centers form the backbone of both corporate and government IT systems — powering servers, storage, and communications 24/7. However, this round-the-clock operation makes them one of the most energy-intensive infrastructures in modern society.
To drive sustainability in this critical sector, the Info comm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) has introduced the Green Data Centre Technology Roadmap, focusing on reducing energy consumption and improving operational efficiency.
Most existing data centers were designed without sustainability in mind. With Singapore’s data center industry poised for strong and sustained growth, there is a pressing need to enhance understanding and management of energy efficiency within these systems.
This course is designed to equip Singapore Certified Energy Managers (SCEMs) and industry professionals with the essential knowledge and tools to optimize data center energy performance for a greener, smarter future.
