DRP-5000 IT Disaster Recovery Expert Implementer
About This Course
The Disaster Recovery Expert Implementer (DRP-5000) course is an advanced professional programme designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to develop, implement, manage, and maintain an enterprise-wide Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Disaster Recovery (DR) programme. As organisations become increasingly dependent on technology, digital platforms, cloud services, and interconnected infrastructure, the ability to recover critical IT systems and services from disruptive incidents has become essential for organisational resilience and business continuity.
This course provides a comprehensive and structured approach to Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP), covering the entire DR lifecycle from programme initiation and risk assessment to strategy development, plan implementation, testing, exercising, recovery operations, and programme management. Participants will learn how to identify and evaluate IT and infrastructure risks, assess the business impact of technology disruptions, develop recovery strategies aligned with business requirements, and establish effective disaster recovery plans to support organisational recovery objectives.
What You'll Learn
• Learners will develop and implement disaster recovery strategies by evaluating recovery options, selecting appropriate recovery technologies, determining recovery priorities, and establishing disaster recovery plans aligned with business requirements. Through practical exercises and assignments, they will demonstrate their ability to assess recovery alternatives, justify strategic decisions, and develop comprehensive recovery solutions that minimise service disruption and technology downtime.
• Learners will demonstrate their capability to lead and coordinate disaster recovery initiatives by establishing governance structures, defining team roles and responsibilities, securing executive management support, and managing recovery activities during disruptive events. They will apply structured approaches to disaster declaration, command centre operations, stakeholder coordination, and crisis communications to facilitate effective response and recovery efforts.
