50 HOUGANG AVENUE 8

Singapore 538785

Introduction

Montfort Secondary School is a government-aided Catholic mission school for boys, founded by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel. The school is dedicated to nurturing every student to be "A Man for Others - A Scholar, a Sportsman, a Gentleman," guided by its motto, "Age Quod Agis" (Do Well in Whatever You Do).

The school provides a holistic education that balances academic rigour with character development and spiritual formation. It offers an Applied Learning Programme (ALP) in design, technology, and engineering, and a Learning for Life Programme (LLP) in sports and outdoor education. These programmes aim to develop resilient, compassionate, and principled young men who are prepared to lead and serve the community.

A Brief Historical Background

The school began in 1916 as a single class in a parish school called Holy Innocents' English School. In 1959, it was renamed Montfort School. The school was separated into primary and secondary sections in 1974.
