About This Course
Train a new breed of hospitality and facility managers to manage smart and modern facilities in order to bring them to a higher level of management.
What You'll Learn
Students will learn to operate and manage modern buildings and developments such as hotels, shopping malls, office buildings, industrial parks and residential buildings with the use of smart technologies, IoT devices, BIM, data analytics and performance simulation. Supported by site visits and experiential learning activities, learning will be taken out of the classroom and into the real world. These activities will also develop the students' knowledge of the management and users' requirements towards service delivery. After getting a good foundation of both front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house operations, students will go on a six-month internship during their final year to put into practice what they have learnt. HLFM graduates will also be awarded with additional certificates such as bizSAFE and Fire Safety Manager. The latter will allow graduates to be registered as Qualified Fire Safety Managers which usually command an additional allowance.
