About This Course
1. The curriculum is designed to train students for employment opportunities in the field of Marine & Offshore Engineering. The course is mapped to the SkillsFuture Framework for the Marine & Offshore Engineering sector as a niche programme.
2. Graduate Competencies of the proposed curriculum are aligned to Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Enhanced NP Graduate Competencies. In addition, these competencies are also aligned with the Washington Accord and the appropriate skills framework.
3. On satisfactory completion of the course, students shall be able to:
C01. Apply fundamental knowledge and skills in Offshore & Sustainable Engineering (OSE).
C02. Apply appropriate methods to design, develop and implement engineering innovations in order to achieve desired needs.
C03. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in communications, IT and leadership (teamwork).
C04. Develop an innovative and enterprising mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills to become self-directed and lifelong learners.
C05. Develop a sense of civic and ethical responsibility and contribute towards making a difference to the nation, community and workplace.

What You'll Learn
Students will develop a range of sector-specific skills and professional attributes. Additionally, they will be armed with a plethora of new and transferable skills and competencies, that will allow them to perform entry-level jobs in the M&OE sector, as well as a suite of engineering industries. This will enable them to be agile and navigate an environment that will constantly and consistently develop cross-cutting, multi-disciplinary engineering solutions across all functions.
The course has also refreshed and enhanced the curriculum with sector-specific sustainable engineering skills and knowledge, particularly through the offering of new “green” modules. On top of these, core modules have also been refreshed or redesigned to infuse sector-specific sustainable engineering concepts and knowledge.
