About This Course
The Diploma in Chinese Studies is designed for students to pursue or develop a career in the Early Education, Primary Education or Business Chinese field. On satisfactory completion of the course, students would have acquired: 
1) A strong foundation in cultural heritage, writing, translation and communication skills in Chinese required by pre-school and primary school Chinese education sector, as well as in the areas of Chinese culture, tourism and business.
2) An understanding of the Chinese, issues on contemporary China and the literary scene in today's society, with emphasis on the role and impact of the Chinese education, business, as well as an appreciation of Chinese literature and culture.
3) Knowledge and skill-sets to work in various industries such as education, publishing, media, tourism, business and translation as educators, editors, journalists, copywriters, tourist guides, event managers , translators and others. 
4) Leadership, critical thinking and organization skills through student projects and group assignment.
What You'll Learn
- Education Track:
Train students to become a primary school Chinese Language teacher or curriculum specialist.
- Business Track:
Prepares students for careers in business communication, professional translation, copywriting, advertising and journalism.
- Chinese Early Childhood Teaching Track:
Qualifies students to become a preschool Chinese Language teacher.

Subject and Grade
a) English Language 1 - 6
b) Higher Chinese 1 - 4
or Chinese 1 - 3
c) Any one of the 1st group of Relevant Subjects for the ELR2B2-A Aggregate Type 1 - 6
