About This Course
To inject multidisciplinary talent into the legal profession, as the demands of the profession become more sophisticated and technical in certain areas like patent law, environmental law and computer law. This Programme is open to University graduates with a first degree. Applicants must be prepared to do the course full-time for three years.
What You'll Learn
Graduate LL.B. Programme students must complete a total minimum of 120 units in three years, 88 units of which consist of the compulsory core law curriculum (CCLC). The objectives of the CCLC are:
-to give students an understanding of the basic law courses and general principles of law that are essential for every law graduate and lawyer;
-to provide students with training in the basic skills essential for every lawyer, including analysis, research, writing, advocacy and problem-solving; and
-to give students an appreciation of the role of law and lawyers in their own society and in the global community that will better equip them to deal with the challenges of globalization.
In their Third Year, students choose courses from many clusters including, Asian Legal Studies, Corporate & Financial Sevices Law, Intellectual Property & Technology Law, International & Comparative Law, Maritime Law, Law & Soiety, Research and Skills.
