About This Course
The curriculum aims to prepare graduate to practise general dentistry competently in a variety of settings and to instil a commitment to learning throughout his/her professional life.
What You'll Learn
The undergraduate programme comprises two pre-clinical and two clinical years. In the pre-clinical years, dental undergraduates undergo instruction in dental subjects of Oral Biology, Cariology and Preventive Dentistry modules as well as share some common core subjects with medical students. They also receive extensive pre-clinical training. Methods of instruction include lectures, tutorials, seminars, laboratory sessions and pre-clinical technique work. In the clinical years, students manage and treat their own patients under supervision. Here they apply theory and skills acquired previously in the various disciplines.
