About This Course
The module is targeted at learners who are or will be performing security duties at Protected Areas and Protected Places. They need essential knowledge and skills apply appropriate actions to deter undesired outcomes when on duty at protected areas and places. This involves understanding the organisational procedures for unauthorised entries, knowing the site layouts and locations of assignments, having the knowledge look out for signs of intelligence gathering and signs of suspicious activities, techniques to stop intelligence gathering and suspicious activities, techniques to remove intelligence gathering equipment, relevant legal and law, assisting law enforcement officers, apply appropriate techniques to stop unauthorised intelligence gathering and to seize unauthorised equipment, manage and refuse entries and lastly appropriate regulations during refusal of entry of banned characters.

b) Apply the Rules of Engagement to handle security related incidents based on the power within and in the surrounding area of protected areas and protected places.
c) Follow organisational standards based on Infrastructure Act 2017 and perform the role of authorised officer in guarding protected areas and protected places.
Entry Requirements
As WSQ's principle is open access to anyone, there is no predetermined entry requirement. Nevertheless, it is recommended that learners should possess the Security WSQ basic licensing before embarking on this module. In lieu of the basic licensing, candidate should possess at least 3 years of working experience, and can comprehend, speak and communicate in English.
