"This course will introduce participants to both the theory and practice of qualitative data analysis using qualitative data analysis software. The theoretical component of the course emphasizes the fundamental differences between qualitative and quantitative analysis, crucial to understanding the value and limitations of employing computing power to assist in analysis. The practical section of the course will provide guidelines for integrating software into qualitatively oriented research projects, organizing research teams when using such software, and finally, hands-on training in manipulating qualitative data using both specialized Anthropac software and popular NVivo10 software for Windows."
