Ship-repairing) Regulations,
Describe roles of Safety Assessors (Hot work Certification),
Explain the Accident Prevention Principle,
Describe the Chemistry of Fires and Explosions,
Perform Gas Free Inspections carried out by Petroleum Inspectors appointed,
Under the PSA (Dangerous Goods, Petroleum and Explosives) Regulations,
Describe Guidelines for the Approval of Hot works,
State the learning points arising from Accident Case Studies on Fires and
Explosions,
Carry out Safety Practices during the cleaning and repairs of tankers
Operations and inspections of tankers and other vessels,
Define Occupational Health and its importance
Perform gas test using meters to measure and detect oxygen, flammable
and toxic vapours/gases,
Perform hot-work assessments in line with Permit-To-Work (PTW) system in
shipyards and Vessel Safety Coordination Committee (VSCC) requirements.
