Individualised Intervention Planning and Implementation through Speech and Drama Curriculum
About This Course
This proposed module is designed for learners with a background in teaching preschool children in a kindergarten, nursery or preschool settings. This module is aligned to the career pathway of an Early Intervention Teacher Aide and provides the learners with the technical skills and competencies to develop and implement intervention plans that integrate the goals, needs, interests and capabilities of children with the desired functional outcomes. At the end of this course, they will be able to:
§ have a basic knowledge of early intervention principles and practices§ determine and identify common types of child development issues;
§ implement classroom management effectively through the use of classroom routines
§ prepare and develop a speech and drama curriculum;
§ develop appropriate assessment plan to assess children’s performance
§ implement classroom observation to observe teacher’s performance.
