About This Course

This one day continuing professional development course focuses on enabling learners to make connections between theory (NEL Principles) and practice and vice-versa in relation to number-sense. The course includes observing, reflecting on related classroom activities and planning differentiated number-sense activities.

What You'll Learn

On completion of the module, learners will be able to:
1.Demonstrate their understanding of the “Whys” and “Hows” of teaching and learning numbers through hands-on activities.
2.Create differentiated number-sense activities for children in N2 to K2.
3.Use the resources provided in this course to further develop resources in their centres

Entry Requirements

☒ Be ECDA-certified as L1 teacher
☒ Be ECDA-certified as L2 teacher
☒ Currently employed in a childcare (with infant care) registered or licensed with ECDA
