About This Course

Addresses critical gaps in music education and performance by providing focused professional development opportunities for conductors, instrumental Co-curricular activities (CCA) instructors, music CCA teachers, Ministry of Education (MOE) teachers, and freelance musicians. This course specifically enhances conducting and ensemble leadership skills, necessary for effective communication of musical interpretations and ensemble communication, thereby elevating performance standards. It also develops advanced coaching and mentoring abilities to cater to the diverse educational and performance needs within musical ensembles, promoting better learning outcomes and more cohesive performances.

What You'll Learn

This course provides learners with essential coaching and mentoring skills focused specifically on conducting musical ensembles. Through practical laboratory experiences, participants will gain the skills required to conduct instrumental works and demonstrate proficiency in various aspects of rehearsal preparation.

At least 5 years of conducting/teaching experience,
and/or successful outcome of the selection interview
