About This Course

Upon completion of the module, participants will be able to:
1. Relate analytics results with business value in healthcare sector;
2. Understand the key elements to build a successful healthcare analytics solution;
3. Understand data source, data collection, data cleansing in healthcare analytics;
4. Understand the key problems and challenges in healthcare clinical analytics area;
5. Master the common analytics techniques used in healthcare analytics, and be able to select the right techniques for different healthcare
analytics problems.
6. Understand the state-of-the-arts in healthcare analytics

What You'll Learn

This module will cover major topics in healthcare analytics, including clinical related analytics (e.g., diseases, medication, laboratory test, etc.) and healthcare operations related analytics (e.g., resource planning, care process analytics and improvement, etc.). Students will learn about the different healthcare analytics areas, and select and apply the appropriate analytical techniques to address healthcare related questions.

Entry Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Relevant public health related work experience
• Prior knowledge of statistics/ biostatsitcs is required
• Candidates with other qualifications and experience may be considered on a case by case basis, subject to approval
