• Understand what is Big Data, Data Science/Analytics and Machine Learning
• Describe and manage the Data Analytics process and workflow
• Understand the various tools used for analysis and data platforms required to support the analytics process.
• Identify the competencies required to build a Data Science team
What You'll Learn
This course is designed for managers as the sequel to the basic course Data Analytics Begins with Me. In this course, participants will learn the different stages involved in carrying out an analytics project, management of the data analytics processes and workflow. There will be discussion on how to hire and build a Data Science team, and to take care of issues related to data privacy, ethics and biases. This course also introduces frequently used algorithms that can help to solve the daily problems faced by the organizations by leveraging on a powerful data analytics tools.
Together with the practical hands-on activities, group discussions and a mini project working on project scoping, this will further enhance the learning experience of the participants, reinforce their skills and knowledge acquired to better perform in your their roles at work.

Entry Requirements
The participant must have attended the 1-day NUS Data Analytics Begins with Me or equivalent. In addition, the participant should have an IT/software project development, architecture or management experience. An understanding of common IT software, databases, programming tools and environments is preferred.
