1. Identify the roles & responsibilities of a para-counsellor
2. Recognise common ethical issues in counselling practice
3. Identify possible barriers of communication when interacting with senior clients
4. Use effective communication techniques when interacting with senior clients
5. Provide basic counselling in an engaging and supportive manner
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
1) Those who are 21 years old and above, and are currently working in healthcare related industry for 0-3 years.
2) Minimum GCE 'N' Level and/or able to read, write, listen and speak of English to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5; and count to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5
3) Able to operate a personal desktop computer / laptop with Level 2 basic computing and applications skills
4) Be motivated to learn
