About This Course
To impart the skills and knowledge required to perform the role of a First Aider in workplace safety and are able to:
• To make a brief assessment of the victim and presenting injury/illness
• Arrive at a decision on the urgency of the injury/illness
• Apply appropriate first aid measures
• Perform CPR and use AED if necessary
What You'll Learn
CERT (Basic First Aid) + CPR + AED equips everyday persons with essential skills in responding to a lifesaving situation such as performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and working with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
CERT (Basic First Aid) + CPR + AED enable learners to understand the various types of injuries that may be encountered in their line of work, to apply basic first aid skills "on the job". This covers a wide spectrum from Falls, sprains, allergies, choking to heart attacks or cardiac arrests (aging population), situations that learners may encounter in their line of work. Training includes knowledge to inculcate situational awareness backed-up by practical first aid skills
